I photograph the moments that make me stop.
Sometimes it is light breaking through the trees in Yosemite. Sometimes it is the Milky Way stretching across a desert sky. And sometimes it is a person whose story I want to photograph with dignity and respect.
Photography, for me, has always been about more than making a beautiful image. It is about paying attention—to light, to place, to people, and to the quiet moments we can so easily pass by.
My camera has taken me from the mountains and waterfalls of East Tennessee to Yosemite, Joshua Tree, and years of mission work in Mexico. Whether I am photographing a sweeping landscape or a single human face, I want the image to do more than show what was in front of me. I want it to invite someone else to stop and see it too.
My faith shapes the way I see the world and the people in it. I believe there is beauty worth noticing, light worth following, and dignity in every person we encounter.
